Unless you are racing, the simple answer is NO. Racing tires and street tires are completely different. Different compounds and different properties. Racing tires are designed and work best when they are hot. When hot, they stick to the roadway like glue for grip. These tires are definitely not usual in the rain because they do not heat up and are not designed to channel water like a street tire. Street tires wear better, have greater stability, have better wet-weather capabilities and are able to better handle a variety of temperatures. So if street riding, stick with a street tire.
