There have been many studies on this topic which all tend to come to the same conclusion – ABS (anti-lock) brakes are safer and provides stopping in shorter distances. Riding on the road can be a jungle at times and ABS brakes allow riders to fully brakes without fully locking up the tires. How is this possible? ABS reduces brake pressure when a lockup is about to occur, and increases it again after traction is restored. While many of us believe conventional brakes are just fine, the studies show ABS is better. An added benefit is ABS allows you to practice emergency stopping without fear of locking up your tires.
